I figured most blogs have some kind of introduction post about why they have started a blog, so here it is.
At the end of Jan 2024 my best friend died, ever since then Ive been trying to distract myself from doing something that most would consider 'selfish'.
After he died it left me without anyone to talk to about random shit i saw, or some drama that's going on or whatever, so i thought maybe a blog to post these things would help me mentally and maybe not feel so alone 🤷
I had some basic knowledge of Debian Linux and prior experience with hosting a website so thought id give a blog a try, In the process i have learned some things about Docker along the way, which is nice :)
I ended up using Ghost, which does way more than i ever need it to. IMO Its little easier than WordPress, but not as involved as some static site generators i looked at, but then again, i didn't really look at many so...
I haven't settled on the template to use for the site, i like the current template (Attila), but I'm not so sure about the spacing of stuff, and I'm kinda tempted to go with a more Geo-cities inspired design, but then again, maybe that's a bit overused now.
As for the content of this blog, i could wind up never posting on here again, or i could post about some completely random topics, who knows🤷
I will say this tho, opinions change over time, regardless of what the opinion is about, anyone who has unwavering opinions on a topic is probably a gullible fool.
If i give my opinion on a subject, it will be an honest opinion at that time, however, said opinion might change at a later time.
I will eventually post about my friend, but I'm still trying to deal with it, so it might take some time.
My spelling is horrendous and I'm not a writer, so i will try to run my posts through a spellchecker but no guarantees 👀
